What political system do you like best?
Re: The Political System Thread
It would be cool if there is any real monarchy nation nowadays. Is there?

Vatican wasn't a monarch, absolutely... (in fact)

Wikipedia says about Vatican City:
The wise Wikipedia wrote:The politics of Vatican City takes place in an absolute elective monarchy, in which the head of the Roman Catholic Church takes power.
So, it's Absolute Monarchy, where the leader (Pope) is chosen by elections, when the old one dies.

And you can't really do nothing for it, unless Vatican City gets destroyed...

But in democracy, you can remove your leader far more easier. That is the job of the Congress.

Communist democracy is the best system, but I like Pantisocracy and both could fit in one society.

Some things very untrue about this:
1. In a Constitutional Monarchy the monarch has no political power, and has only a ceremonial role. Also the monarch is (by law) not responsible for what the government does, and the Prime Minister is responsible for what the monarch does (because of legal sovereign immunity and impartiality).
2. There is no need to remove the head-of-state in a constitutional monarchy because the monarch has no political function. All political responsibility is with the Prime Minister, who is very easily replaced instead.
3. Constitutional monarchies ARE a form of absolute democracy, so there's no way something is true in a democracy but not in a constitutional monarchy.
4. Not all democratic states have a Congress. In fact, the vast majority doesn't, and has two chambers of government: The Lower House and the Higher House. Names obviously differ from country to country, with the British calling them the House of Commons and the House of Lords, the Dutch calling them the Second Chamber and the First Chamber, etc.

Yes, but usually the leader is from the biggest Political Party, and therefore he has the majority in Congress...

Re: The Political System Thread
In Indonesia, there is Congress (MPR/Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat), the Higher House (DPD/ Dewan Perwakilan Daerah), and the Lower House (DPR/ Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat).
In fact, Indonesian Lower House has more power than the others...
Reply to AOE_Fan:
This case happen to Soeharto. The MPR was absolutely under the power of Golkar, but because the whole country suppressed them, MPR decide to remove Soeharto. And right before MPR does it, Soeharto choose to pension.
There is one Indonesian president who was removed by MPR, Abdurrachman Wahid/ Gus Dur.

Re: The Political System Thread
The Lower House always has more power than the Higher House in truly democratic states, and that is because the Lower House is directly elected (after all, they're the Parliament, the people's representatives) whereas the Higher House isn't (because it's the Senate and represents the nobility, the intelligentsia, or something else, depends on the country). In the Netherlands for example (where the Higher House or First Chamber represents the intelligentsia) the First Chamber cannot propose new laws, cannot form a government and cannot sack the government. In fact the only thing it does is check and either allow or deny propositions made in the Second Chamber.

And in my country, the Lower House has more problems and corruption than the higher one.
