Ooh, that's the most annoying thing of all. If you include overly use of bold and italic text this has to be the number one annoyance on forums

Not really. Unless posts get to consist of smilies alone, I don't really mind. At least smilies have a meaning.

Well, sometimes this can create some interesting discussions. And since often one post to remind people of the subject is enough, that's not really annoying.

If for no good reason, yes. If done for a reason that is explained by admins, I don't really mind.
