Big (Small) Error
I try to add a unit named 'Knight'
I have made a texture, bumpmap, and xml file. I've put them all inside the art folder and convert them back to .ddt and .xml
I've also edit the proto file, adding a new unit named Knight (ID 621), copied from Alain, and also edit the stringtable, adding ID 43335.
the problem comes, I can't convert the edited stringtable into xmb file
But then, I try to copy the proto xml and xmb, and stringtable xml (without xmb ones) to game's data.
I open the scenario editor and:
1. All object names disappeared.
2. There is 2 Alain Magnan (after I replaced the stringtable with the original ones).
I want to ask too:
1. Where is the editor names?
2. Why I can't convert the stringtable xml into xmb?

Hmm, send the files to me, I try to see if I can make them work! I can't see why you can't convert the stringtabley.xml to .xmb file, it works fine with me...

It is stringtable, not stringtabley ones.

Pepp, you messed up the stringtable, that's why it won't convert and you have a giant mess. See if you deleted any tags by mistake or you have to lines with the same number. Give your unit some really high one like 90000.

The latter is really important indeed. Duplicates have the ability to monumentally cock up your game.

He probably means how to edit the name you get in the Editor. Isn't it this: <editornameid>#####</editornameid> ???

Yes I know it... But what I want to ask is, where I can find the ##### numbers? In what xml file?

Well, and in protoy.xml of course. It rather depends what you want to edit.

protoy.xml has all the numbers and names.

No need to answer it Sir. This topic is soo old that it went back around 2 years ago. I have completely understand tactic, xml, and many more now.protoy.xml has all the numbers and names.
