Post-Prologue K&B
So, now what? Knights and Barbarians: Prologue has been released, and you're probably playing it until your eyes will start to bleed. But what's next? Where are all the other civs? What about the bugs? What about other things we've mentioned, but did not appear to be in the Prologue? Well, I'm here to hopefully, address some of these questions you might have.
For the next week or so, the main focus will be bugfixing, patching, and resolving balance issues. The majority of this burden falls onto Robert (Peugot407), Matti (AOE_Fan), and Thomas (Synecdoche.) They'll be working frantically to resolve any and all issues you might have with K&B, so please make sure to thank them not only for their hard work on the Prolouge, but for the patches they'll be trying to get out ASAP.
During this week, and afterwords we'll also be working on finishing missing things in the Prolouge. This includes missing icons, HCs, voices, etc. It's hard to say when all this will be done, but hopefully it won't take too long.
After we're done with all that, serious development of the Quintessence, the next version of K&B. Here we will expand our world, further west, and north. Introducing much more European civs, which I'm assuming of you are dieing to play as. There are a lot of new interesting features that some of our civs which you will soon find out about. It will take us time to produce Quintessence, because aside from a few textures Robert has messed around with in his spare time, there's virtually no art assets, or coding done for it. However, all generic units are done, so it's not going to take nearly as long as the Prologue took to complete.Quintessence, will not finish K&B, following that we have the Reprise which will feature civilizations, and even then we may not be completely finished.
Finally the giant elephant in the room, were are some of the features that we've spoken of, but are not in Prologue. Well there's actually a lot more things that we want in Prologue, but either hadn't had time, or we didn't feel it was best to include in the main download. We'll be trying to possibly include some of these things in addon packs. Consider them "official sub-mods."
I hope this answers any questions you may have.

So what was the Reprise again? A further mod that adds beyond your originally planed 14?

Re: Post-Prologue K&B
@Tilanus: We'll have the full monty up come the next patch. Making placeholders would just cost time.
@Hoop: Yes, sort of like WotTA Epsilon. It's everything we feel could still feasibly be added on top of the Quintessence.

Re: Post-Prologue K&B
Any idea at all when the next big release is? I know its early and more than slightly obnoxious, but I'm really exited just playing this version, and I can't wait till the next!

Re: Post-Prologue K&B
If it's not much of a bother to question, may I know if there's going to be any reference to the kontore in the Quintessence?

Re: Post-Prologue K&B
Maybe in the Reprise, but in the quintessence itself; Flemish has a HC which had a kontor, while their UB won't be the kontor itself.

Re: Post-Prologue K&B
Hanseatic League "district offices" were known as kontore. Sort of like embassies mixed with customs ports for Hansa merchants in foreign lands.

Re: Post-Prologue K&B
Fair enough... I did notice the similarity to Dutch "kantoor", which does indeed mean "office", but guessing the link to the Hansa was a bit too much, apparently.

Re: Post-Prologue K&B
So I was idly wandering about in the intertubes when I stumbled upon this image:
And it got me wondering; will you have anything like the Mobile Yurt in the middle on the Mongolian civ?

Overpowered, yet reminds me to Saracen's moving house.

Re: Post-Prologue K&B
It's very interesting, but we do indeed have a very similar kind of building for the Saracens, so it's unlikely to make its way into the mod.

Dunno, I thought it could be used as a wagon variant or something...
