The goal is to get patch 2 released by Christmas. Technically all the major bug fixes and balance changes are finished but there are still some minor things and adjustments that need work.

Hey Guys,
Fantastic Mod, the patch has fixed all previous bugs except now none of my ships will fish for food or whale gold.
Can I get some assistance?

Hey
At the time when patch 1 was done, the function and balancing of all the ships wasn't yet ready. However, they'll be ready for the next patch. You can still gather fish or whales with Fishing Boats.

Ahhhh yes it works - I just tested it. Thanks.
I find quickly gaining naval superiority and retreating into the sea as the AI destroys my land units and town center is the only way to ultimately beat an AI on expert - which is just way too powerful.

The Expert handicap hasn't been changed to artificially increase the difficulty of AI, so I suggest trying with easier difficulty to get started. Actually, the AI really becomes harder in the next patch... grinning

By chance did you try "custom maps"?

Have you pressed the "Custom Maps" button when you're selecting the map. Also, make sure the maps are installed for the user that is used to run the game.

For using the new patch installer
1) Must it be installed directly into the game folder
2) can it be installed in the folder if K&B is already applied manually

Also when it asks if we want to re-install or install for the first time, it says yes and no which is very confusing, please fix this.

1. Must be installed in the same folder where you'd install mods manually as well. The installer should also automatically find the correct folder.
2. Yes.

It's quite simple: answer "Yes" if you're
1. Installing the first time
2. Reinstalling
Answering "No" will just proceed to installing the patch.

The latest patch contains all the released patch, if I'm not terribly wrong. If there's a problem with downloading, there's a direct download link in the Patch thread.

The 1.0 installer didn't do anything for me. It just said "Check your connection and try again" after I selected either "Yes" or "No".

I installed the 1.0 manually, followed by the patch 2.12 installer.
