Updates to the forums will be posted here:

12 October 2010
- Job/Hobbies now two separate things (Jobs -> Occupation; Hobbies -> Interests/Hobbies) in your profile options
- Added a little text field where you can type in your favorite civ
- Removed that thing that said attack with the dice
- Removed unnecessary large smiles
- Added new smilies!

- Added a cool little announcement/news bar where an admin can post updates.

- Auto-Censor for swearing removed (about time), all ethnic slurs will now be censored instead.

- Added three new Commoner rank pictures: Bronze, Silver and Gold
- Added a new rank for those who have been with K&B since the beginning: K&B Elite Team Member
- Gave the K&B Apprentice rank a new rank picture
- Made the rank pictures transparent in the background rather than white

- Fixed the black edge on the Knight Administrator rank
- Changed the moderator rank title so that it now says 'Knight Moderator' rather than just 'Moderator'

- Added a new rank for outsider playtesters, even though they're only going to be in later: Crusader Knight

- Changed the Forum Moderators so that each forum now has one or more specific moderators. This does not remove moderator powers from others, it just gives forumers a point of contact.
- Brought back the chatbox, as some forum members seem to be quite fond of it.

- Renamed the Count of Spamshire rank to Earl of Spamdon
- Added a new rank for users with 650-999 posts: Count of Spamchester
- Added a new rank for users with 1000 posts or more: Duke of Spamshire

- Replaced the icons in the previous Avatar Gallery with new ones, showing the flags of the 14 K&B civs

-User ranks updated. Some special rank titles are now updated and have different colors. K&B Leaders are Royal Blue, peugout407 has a gold crown next to his title, while AoE_Fan has a silver crown next to his. Moderators' titles are green and have a bronze crown. K&B Team member's title are now gold. Admins titles are now in bold. Also, The Dude's user color has been changed and has a unique crown to distance himself from both K&B leaders and Moderators.
-Anti-Spam Bot improvements
-New chatbox, that now pops out and auto logs you in. The original has been removed. This new one, contains new features such as having sound per a message, new commands, and a PM feature.
-There are a few neat little widgets on the right hand side of the forum. Don't like it? Well that's okay just click the little blue line and it will hide the tool bar. (that however does include the new chatbox)
-Portal Updates
-K&B Team Group color changed. It's now a darker gold to appear better on the forum background
- A new Sub-Forum, The Town Crier, has been made as an archive for K&B updates.
-Improved the Twitter Feed on Portal

Updates Regarding Recent Forum Changes

Minor Forum Changes 24/2/13

The mobile site has been updated, you should now be able to log on, and post and replay to topics, making in actually useful. It's still a bit of a pain to use, considering the fact if you're browsing a 20 page topic, you're going go through page by page. As of right now, I don't believe there is any quick page finder thing. Regardless, kudos to Forumotion to improving a system which I thought they forgot about, and here's hoping they finish it!

Also, I've added a lightbox thingy. Basically, when you click on any picture on the forum (unless said picture has a link it it) it will bring up a more zoomed in version of that pictured. Here's a sample:



I also am considering another major forum update. No promises, but I'll be looking into some cool features I could add to spice up the forum.

Added a Features page, with brief overview of K&B and general features such as Civilization outlines. In the future, we will make a list of all Random Maps in K&B and write about strategies of each one.

The FMChat chatbox in bottom-right corner of the forum has been disabled due to known problems, which caused forum to direct to other site for IE users.

A similar, AvacWeb Chat has been added to replace the previous chatbox. In fact, it is much better than the previous one, as it is almost completely customizeable with plug-ins and supports private chat rooms.

The Twitter Feed from top of the Portal has been removed due to non-working code. A new Twitter Box widget has been added to left side of Portal and it shows the three latest tweets from K&B Twitter.

It seems that Forumotion has messed up the URL of the forum, knightsandbarbarians.com doesn't seem to work anymore. Meanwhile I try to contact Forumotion, the URL is therassaskjasd.heavenforum.org.

Domain issue resolved.

Once again this time of the year we're experiencing an issue with the forum domain being expired. We're working on the issue and it should be resolved as soon as possible.
