Sorry to bring up an old discussion, but will Norse paganism be an option for the Vikings (Denmark)? If not, I could help you plan it out if you wanted.

Re: Nice civilizations
The Vikings will have Catholicism as their main religion, Lollardy as their reformed religion and Paganism as their outside religion. I suppose that answers your question. There's no need to plan it out as such though, as the religion system in K&B hinges on bonuses entirely, and does not enable any new units or techs.

Re: Nice civilizations
this mod like nice, but the italians have few UUS so y want to sugest some units for them: carrocio: wagon with a flag not atack but as good hitpoints and also have a aura that inspire units increasing their combat capabilities and will work as a mantlet replacement. hammer infantry: soldier with the traditonal venetian hammer, replaces halberdier have less atack than the normal halberdier but have more hitpoints and have less bonus against cavalry but is devasting against infantry.

Re: Nice civilizations
Well, the Italians were always intended to be the most "default" civilisation in K&B, at least where units are concerned, so they are very close to the basic unit roster and have three UUs, while the average is four. Sill, we don't feel they're missing out on anything, partly because their Royal Guard upgrades are for the Man-at-Arms and Knight, which are two of the most useful units in the mod, but mostly because they've got by far and away the best economy of any civilisation...

Re: Nice civilizations
ok. but still adding more units will be make the civ more complete

Re: Nice civilizations
Perhaps, perhaps... Still, if you want to see a civ with plenty of UUs, I think the Mongols will rather suit your taste, once the Quintessence comes around, anyway...

Re: Nice civilizations
UUs doesn't make a civ better, and the historical accuracy makes the italian a nation with no excellent army, so UUs makes a civ weaker or stronger and the italian army was just standart, and if you want to add new UUs with the same stats, it isn't a good idea.

Re: Nice civilizations
I know that, and we did even at one point (a very, very long time ago) plan to have the Carrocio as an Italian UU, so there's nothing wrong with your research. We just don't find the addition of any extra UUs to be very necessary...

Re: Nice civilizations
ok. now i wil be sugest some units for the germans : reiter: a pistol using cavalry is trained for stable and replace handgunner, the reiter is more expensive and have weaker atack than the hand gunner but is faster and have more hitpoints. forlorn hope: not a unit but a royal guard upgrade to the halberdier, the forlorn hope where prisioners who fougth for the holy roman empire.

Re: Nice civilizations
Er, Leon, only civs of the European civset get Royal Guard upgrades. The Germans are not part of that civset, but of the Crusading civset instead, which means they get the Chapter House, the Headquarters, the Pilgrimage system, and many other things as well, but no Royal Guard upgrades.

Re: Nice civilizations
About the Venetian Hammerman: the Halberdiers played a important role in the medieval italian cities, so they are too important to replace.

Well, if there is anyone want to look carrocio in game, I can make it* easily. Yet they would just be an editor unit with no effect at all...**
