Re: Nice civilizations
I'm not so sure. You see, all of the civs in K&B would have had either Catholicism, Orthodox Christianity or Islam as their state religion. So from that point of view it wouldn't be very realistic. What you saw in Kingdom of Heaven (easily the best history film ever) is not freedom of religion, it's religious tolerance. Even though the Crusaders were very religiously tolerant, especially under Baldwin IV, they were Catholic by nature, and that would be the only religion they would willingly spread, so they would build churches for their people, but not mosques and synagoges.
Come to speak of it, England, Italy, Spain, Flanders and Byzantium were also remarkably tolerant at the time, the real fanatics lived in France and Germany.

Re: Nice civilizations
Well Poland did have religious freedom, but I had an idea. What about the default religion for Slavs would be Catholicism, and you get a card that transforms it into Judaism?peugeot407 wrote:I'm not so sure. Re: Nice civilizations
Could you see that work?
@Maxulino: No, they wouldn't fit the timescale, but we do have Flanders. Not to mention it's rather funny you're telling me something about my home country...

Re: Nice civilizations
Once it's researched you still have that tech, but if it's disabled before you can research it, then you can't get it.

Re: Nice civilizations
Um sorry that's impossible without completely replacing the Consulate and that has already been done. I was suggesting a card.

Re: Nice civilizations
@Maxulino: You could just post in the tam forum... :p I'm not going to move it now though, as Dude said the right thing, it's hardcoded. You can't make a second Consulate, just like you can't make a second Town Center, Market, Factory, Rice Paddy etc.

Re: Nice civilizations
I was thinking shipping a Synagogue, instead of completely replacing the church.
Re: Nice civilizations
why not using the consult as a way of choosing a religion complete with units and techs.

Re: Nice civilizations
Crusader Charter house is one of the unique bonuses for 3 civs, wouldn't be wise to remove it. (IMO) But I think the card should allow a Jewish population to live within your town, not convert your entire town. It would make more scene. (IMO)
