They're called Lords, and other than the name, the only difference is each Lord will have one or more (still to decide) bonus aura around him boosting soldiers in combat. It's cavalry, as well...

You mean Explorers for non-Euro civs? (that would be the Mongols, Turks, Arabs and Moors, and to a lesser degree Crusaders)? They get the same Lord unit, only it will, obviously, look a tad different.

IMHO maybe we should change the word Lord into Captain. It suits better.

Lord suites better. A Lord is the owner of all the lands.

Not really. If we chose a Khan for the Mongols, we might as well name the Turk lord Sultan, the Arab and Moor lords Caliph, and the European lords Emperor. K&B tries (for the sake of realism) to do things on a slightly more local scale. So the Lord would be the local noble, regardless of culture. Thanks a lot for helping us though...

In Vanilla we had different names for explorers like Brahmin for India, Shaolin Master for Chinese etc so I thought you'll similarly represent the Lords in K&B with their cultural names.

By this would you mean the Lord would have a preset name like "Sam" or it would be like a unit name like "king"?
