Peppic Epic

Today, I will present you a new format of Friday Updates, the Franciscan des Salesian Friday Updates! Nah, it will be a variation for Friday Updates, but this one will focus on what I thinks, what I comments, what I feel, what I do.




In this month, our team has done many important things for the future of K&B’s Prologue. The Middle East buildingset texture has been done by Peugeot407, none of them looks bad for us. And only after he uploaded it to our lovely Skydrive, AOE_Fan coded them into the game, alongside with many things including uploading version 6.1. Pepp seems got many ideas this month, but most of his idea are not fully fledged and now, after his texturing jobs done, he get a vacation from modding. Iliander, our balancer guy, seems to be one of the most neutral guys in the earlier weeks but turn into a bad moody guy this day. Spangopola, our artist, has done a beautiful concept art of a Hungarian mercenary unit, that is quite hard to be followed by Pepp. Dude seems busy with Euro Cup, and we know he has to busy with it, but nonetheless, he has a big job to start doing, just start doing the AI. Fegelein, or also known as Pie Lighter, has done his main job and now he had a vacation, “free from modding” season. Mister SCP was uploading the new model of Town Square, you know it. Persian_Fusilier will be busy these weeks as he has to done many icons for our native barbarians. But while the other team members are busy, Non4Dmodeller seems gone and wisely AOE Fan kicked him out. Kiiiick! The last, Synecdoche our new member have done many great research that I myself amused.

• Iliander: Not quite like him this week, partially because he gave me critics, but without any solution. That feeling gone fast once upon a time, but back today. I am really annoyed with it.

• Fegelein: I am going to talk to him about working with him to create fabulous cheat units. I am thinking for XXX, XXX, and XXX. They are funny for me!
• Persian_Fusilier: To be honest, he needs some order from team leader, so he won't make random icon that will be useless.
• Personal Comment: Bad mood mixed with greed, turned into an evil personality. I have done many textures these weeks, but many of them need some fixes, and no fixes have done yet. Still watching for more fresh ideas, that I worried will be yawned by Iliander. I am worry that one day, I and Iliander will turned into enemy…

Interesting format Pepp, the update you made is useful as it sums up a lot. Also I would like to say that while your english is not great, it is better than what it used to be. your comments regarding the various members of the team amusing and enlightening about the different dynamics of the Team. Your comment about you and illander becoming enemies, that could turn ugly, the spammers (or former spammers) at each other's throats could spell disaster

Making icons for techs that are already decided and coded can't be "random" and "useless".

In this day, first day of the 2013, I will present to you all my feeling throughout the year (and some from 2011). Chalk tastes bitter, honey tastes sweet, but most things are bitter sweet. Snow is cold, lava is hot, but most things are warm. Many things I have found, many problem I have solved in 2012. The time comes today, the time I show all to the world, with many edits and censors. :lol:




It has been almost 2 years (5 months to go) I am working in K&B. The why I am working here or the why I accepted by Robert is a strange legend, some says it is because of Robert's goodness, some of his foolish. Yes, that time I was one of two noobs, trolls, useless spammer in NE with You Know Who. 8th May 2011, I asked to Robert whether I can join the mod or not. It was Iliander who invite me there, partially because I send a PM to him about a Medieval mod, and he refers to me about KnB. I worked there as a researcher, historian, idea maker, even if I am not so good there. My first focus was Flanders, but later I learn that Iliander had given many things, which are supposedly from me in NE. :lol:

Nah, because of that, I took my focus on Moors and Saracen. Moors is somewhat hard to built while Saracen is easier to do. Saracen is also my ring, my love, my precious (if I am gollum). I just don't want somebody to change it, even a tiny piece of it. But later, I have to accept the fact that even the most beautiful thing must be changed for the good sake of everybody. So then many things changed in it, especially for their one infantry, the Saif Swordsman, which turned into Muttatawi'a, and later to Tabardariyya, one of my best unit to the date.

Throughout the two years, I also met many guys, first one is of course, Robert. The first time I met him, he is a bit "evil" to me in NE, but later I also thought that he will hate me for being an Indonesian, as he is a Dutch and worse, Monarchist. However, I also learn that he is an Anglophile, and that makes him a neutral guy. :lol: Second guy I met is iliander. Just like in NE, he is a troll, but I think he is better in K&B, while in fact his attitude to everybody likes a transversal wave. However, he was my best friend to spam. Third one, is AOE_Fan. He showed up first time in NE, showing his Finland (nah, that is one of the most boring map I know today :lol: ). I was a good working friend of him, better than Iliander which likes to spam (I liked it too). Many ideas of maps in K&B came from me, altered and changed for wise of balance by Matti, some by Ili. Matti doesn't like to spam and he affected me quite much. Now I don't like to spam too much, well, eh, that is relative.

The other guys I met are Maxulino, which I don't quite like for his strange, not epic videos. Later, it was me who suggest to Robert to kick him off. Now it is not really wrong, he never show up. Well, if he back, it will be a great thing... There are also Dude. A Polish, radical, childish guy (not really true). He worked as RM maker, while actually that is for looong time later in the main version. Yeah, most of maps in prologue made by Matti/AOE_Fan. Dude is also a guy who thinks that I can be used as a chess peon, thinking that with made me into an Admin, he can fought Robert-Matti alliance, at least that was a li'l war happened long time ago. :lol: I am still LOL everytime I remember myself being an admin. Even I saw the secret trash! :lol:
I also met Shadowflame, which was short lived (for me). There is also Spangopola, another Asian guy whose drawings are great, but slow working these days. Later I also met MisterSCP, Synecdoche, Persian_fusilier, and many others.

In K&B, I was a not so famous guy, known only for his ideas and spams. However, with some "tricky" ways, I became a moderator, something that I use wisely now. With having powers, I also have more responsibility. I also learn that being a researcher isn't so fun, so I try to draw, being a concept artist. Only 1 concept art is really working, it is the Ghulam. But later, I also being bored, thus I try to be a RM scripter, but that is not really working as the only map I done is bad Baluran. But laater, I saw a film about Nuns with Guns, something that really powered me to texture. I really learn to texture that time, and done a bunch of easy texture Nuns with guns. That was also the time I got my aliases, Fraulein Nun or Mrs Nun or Herr Peppness. Later, this become my real job here, which started around May 2012. Robert still afraid if my textures aren't good, so he put me to do the mercenaries (all mercenaries). Yep, almost all are done by me, or actually all. And today I have done many Saracen and Moors UU.

In K&B I also learn to tolerate anyone else, not treating them as noob, and also not to judge a book by its cover. I learn to know how Matti, Robert, ili, dude, everyone act differently. Actually, I also tried to be a moderator's head, but later I decided not. :lol: I also tried to kiiick Syn, as his ideas seems more decent than mine, but that is past. :lol: Yes, I don't quite like rivalry, but later used it as a device to improve myself and the whole mod. I also a bit afraid of noobs and spammer in the mod (I am no more a spammer). That was the reason I afraid of Mong and Persian_Fusilier for the first time. I was right, Mong didn't do anything, but Persian_Fusilier/Aslan is another thing. He is a real modder. He made a bunch of beautiful icons, and it they become better from days to days. And yeah, we're good friend now , for being Asian :lol: .

I also hate long time absent and long time no work, while I did it once :lol: . That was happened to some members, and with my suggestion and "pretty please" and resasons, Robert kick them. Those are for the sake of the mod.
Beside things above, I was the man who saw with my own eye, Matti planned a Harmony Revolution to the mod. He changed many things, made rules and laws, enforced everything, demoted some, and the best, made himself a Prime Minister of the mod. Yes, for around 2 months, we advances faster than before, far faster. Well, it is about being falling and increasing these days, as some guys doesn't seem to work at all, one because his task is for later, the other because of his hobby, while the other run faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast. I don't quite like it, but Second Harmony Revolution is a no good idea to be done. :lol:

The picture for the Team's progress is, sadly, how it feels for me too, though I'd say that at the same time many team members have had their most productive month this December and I think it's been a good month for K&B on the whole (certainly not because of myself, though, sorry!).

I forgot it, it has been a year since I post something there.

In these weeks, the paladins of Matti are doing many things which is important for the quintessence. Matti himself has done several new maps and together with his liegé, they issued a new rule for K&B's Random Maps.
Like usual, the godfather of K&B, Robert, is doing some texture, mainly for the land of Rodrigo Diaz. Arsalan, the only Persian exist here, has done epic icons for merchant. As a clue, it is for merchant .
Stefan was asked to import several model made by Robert, and those model are pretty pretty. Thomas did a great job in his side job, the new and the main balance maker after Iliander is denounced.
I haven't do much thing, probably because I went to Karimunjawa this week . Huang returned to class, so he didn't do anything for now.
Our forum admin, Richard, was gone and almost never visit us. The last, our Hitler is sleeping, because Matti hasn't give him any task.

Matti's really been working his ass off, I agree. These past two weeks have actually been super productive just because of him . And you neglected to mention your most recent texture, Pepp! It's gorgeous.
