What are YOU looking forward to?
Title says it all! Whether it's Prologue or the main release, what are the features, civs, maps, and other aspects of the mod that you most want to play and see in action? Will you play competitively with us and other online players, or do you have more fun creating scenarios and modeling famous battles and confrontations? Let us know what tickles your collective fancies.
Though I'm on the team, and despite my Viking leanings, I have to say I'm really looking forward to the Mongols. I don't think they'll ever play two games alike!

What was it again you recently said about the Byzantines?

Re: What are YOU looking forward to?
That's for Prologue, not the main release!
I guess I'm not a block-training kind of guy
Here's my Official Synecdoche's Favorite Civ List
Favorite: Vikings
Tied for second: Mongols, Spanish, Moors, and English (in fealty to Wales, of course!)
Aesthetic special consideration: Slavs, Byzantines, and Saracens

Re: What are YOU looking forward to?
For Prologue: Italians are a bit too all-around civ for me. Byzantines are surely the best defensive civ but I like something more offensive. Turks and Crusaders are probably my favourites, former being quite versatile with Observatory and Race Track and latter being the ultimate rushing civ. Saracens depend of the map, I think they are great in maps like Hedjaz or Nejd.
Non-prologue: Mongols are the most versatile, no doubt. I like Germans and Spanish the most. The least I like French and Flemish, because French are already quite similar to Saracens with their Militia bonuses (and there are lot of them) and Flemish with yet another militia bonus, and different gold bonuses (Flemish = Frenchs + Saracens?). Flemish honestly need some rethinking as I feel them slightly boring and UP.
Other things I can't wait for: HCs (visuals + cards, they are planned much carefully in K&B), maps (mainly the different strategies for each one) and civ strategies, probably online. Diplomacy and Invasion (a gametype we'll tell about someday) are quite interesting as well.

Re: What are YOU looking forward to?
This is a public forum, Matti, and you just spoilered quite a lot about the French and Flemish. Either way, I'm satisfied with how they are at the moment, certainly the Flemish...
My favourite civs then: For the Prologue probably the Turks, although the Italians are a treat as well, and for the Quintessence without any shadow of doubt the English. I love using archery...

Re: What are YOU looking forward to?
I think those bonuses have already been revealed in Friday Updates. Anyway, I edited my post to not have so much spoilering...

I am looking forward to see the Homecities. My favorite thing about a new civ is its Homecity.

Re: What are YOU looking forward to?
Another thing I'm really looking forward to: Our improved and actually game-changing Barbarian tribes! No one's mentioned them yet, I don't think. My fingers are itching to type out some trash-talk after a successful ambush of Avar archers or Frankish axe-throwers.

Re: What are YOU looking forward to?
What I am looking forward for aren't the civs, they are my TEXTURES. Nah, that is not 100% true. Actually, I also looking forward for Saracen and Moors, two civs where I gave quite much afford and ideas. But Mongol is a great exception, as it is just adorably special civ in the main release.

Re: What are YOU looking forward to?
What I am looking forward for is that the main realese will complete K&B 100%!
So all the portraits, homecitys, icons, bug fixes, and ofcourse the completed civs!
My favorite civs of the prologue is,
- Turks because they have the strongest army and the upgrades are easy for the Jans and Spahis!
- Byzantine because they have a powerful defense!
Turks and Byzantine team-up =

Such a shame that in the real history they are enemy, eh?- Turks because they have the strongest army and the upgrades are easy for the Jans and Spahis!
- Byzantine because they have a powerful defense!
You know, it is just like imagining Orochimaru become Konoha's hokage.
Sorry for spamming a bit, ehm.

Re: What are YOU looking forward to?
Prologue, probably Byzantines. I'm a defensive player to the bone. I love me some walls, backed up by copious missile troops and towers.
Main Release... Probably Germans. I can't wait to see how they are handled, historically speaking. I'll probably enjoy playing as the Mongols the most, though... come on, that much offense is always fun!
